Description: A five week, ten hour course integrating several
therapeutic methods to assist children and
young people with:
A ACCEPTANCE of self and others who have experienced health and/or life
events that have contributed to feeling alone, isolated and vulnerable.
B BELONGING to a small group will give confidence and new
meaning to those feeling left out and overlooked.
C CONNECTING with others by recognizing and exploring
meaning circumstances that brought each distinct group member into this unique group.
Who Should Enroll? The DISTINCTLY ME PROGRAM is for Children or
Young Adults with one or more of the following:
- Children of divorced or divorcing parents.
- Children of those who have a history of substance abuse.
- Individuals experiencing mood swings, feelings of depression and anxiety.
- Children with issues related to grief and loss.
- Those who have a hard time making and maintaining friendships.
- Children who have been bullied at school.
- Individuals with limiting health problems.
Fees: Most insurance plans will cover the cost of THE DISTINCTLY ME PROGRAM.
Each group participant must complete an assessment and orientation to
group, prior to beginning the program.
